Congress theme and scope
All presenters and participants are encouraged to become involved with the congress theme Global creativity and innovation: Developing capacities for sustainable futures. The overarching focus of the congress is on global wellbeing, within a context of the transformative potential of home economics.
IFHE position paper: Home economics in the 21st century clarifies the dimensions and impact of the global home economics profession. To assist with reviewing and programming, authors submitting an abstract may nominate which IFHE program committee they wish their abstract to be reviewed by, as well as several key words or phrases the author(s) feels most closely links to their work. The IFHE program committees are:
- Consumer issues and family resource management
- Food security and nutrition
- Institutional and hospitality management
- Home economics policies in education and training
- IFHE international business group
- Outreach to central and eastern European countries
- Textiles and design
- Household technology and sustainability
